Cinnamon Roll Sugar Cookies

So…these were kind of a fail haha.

So, I was going to make these for the annual NYE potluck/party I have at my house. I made the dough part, and then I saw that the rest of the recipe was more complicated for the amount of counter space I had (since my friends contributions were already taking up most of the kitchen)…and for the amount of daiquiris I had already drank haha

So, I put the dough in the fridge, the recipe says it’s better upon chilling anyway.

So, yesterday, I take the dough out to finish making them, and this dough was so incredibly sticky, I couldn’t work with it at all. I checked, I made the dough right. Is it possible I let them chill too long?…Which sounds weird.

But both my mom and my sister tried to help me with the rest of the recipe, but the dough was just way too difficult to work with. It stuck to everything, no matter how much flour I used on the cutting board, my hands,or the dough itself.

So, my sister ended up rolling them into little balls and throwing them in the oven. I dumped the rest of the dough out…too much hassle to make a second batch, and decided to not even make the icing that goes over them.

So, I take them out of the oven, they looked ok, but they were really bland tasting.

So, this was a total fail haha. Oh well, onto the next!
