Rolo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Rolos are one of my dad’s favorite candies. So, when I saw this recipe online, I knew I had to make them.

And yeah, this is a pretty easy recipe. It’s a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe. It is sticky, so definitely have a lot of flour around when you’re working with it and putting the rolo in the middle.

Also, the recipe says you have to roll it into a ball, flatten it, and then put the rolo in. You don’t really need to. I just grabbed some dough formed it together, and put the rolo in, and then formed the dough around it. It saved some time I think.

So yeah, these are a quick easy dessert, that taste pretty good too!

Cheesy Pepperoni Bread

I have always loved pepperoni bread, so I was excited to make this.

This recipe requires one of those pillsbury cans, the ones that pop open? Yeah…I hate that haha. Anyway, so I get the Italian loaf one, get it open, and I thought it would be like the crescent rolls, where you find the corner and roll it out that way. But it’s not, it’s just a tube of dough…and for some reason my family does not own a rolling pin. So…like 10 minutes later and with dough all over my hands, it resembled a rectangular blob thing. So I said whatever and put the cheese and pepperoni on it. I used turkey pepperoni, because it’s slightly healthier.

So, after all that, I put it in the oven, took it out and tried it, and it was pretty good. I couldn’t find marinara at the store, so I got pizza sauce, which seems like the same thing? Anyway, it tasted good. What I would like to try would be putting the pizza sauce in the dough, that could be really good.

But this was quick and easy, and would be good for an appetizer I think.

Gouda and Apple Croissants with Baby Spinach

image

Sounds fancy right? Well it’s not really, but it looks fancy so yay haha.

The only major snag I hit was that I go to the store and there’s no gouda…which is obviously a major part of this. So, I bought some muenster cheese and called it a day.

So, this is super easy to make, you just pile everything on top of each other and eat it.

The only other thing is that I was making this and I was thinking, are these different types of foods going to taste good together? And actually, they do. The apple is definitely the strongest flavor, but it actually works with everything else.

Lastly, you only need like one of these are you’re full. So, I think I would actually make these again, but I would want to try them with gouda this time.

Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pulls

Well. Can’t say I didn’t try. I mean actually, this is a really simple recipe. So, I don’t quite know what I did. Made the cuts too deep in the bread? Spread it too far apart? I don’t know, maybe it wasn’t my fault and the loaf of bread was too small.

Also, normally I try and do healthy substitutes or something, yeah no. This is probably the most fattening thing I’ve made in awhile, and it was delicious. It’s nice to indulge every once in awhile right?

Anyway, this is a fun simple recipe that would be a great appetizer or something, granted the loaf of bread is big enough.
