Puppy Chow Cookies

IMG_2943

So I’m home for the holidays, and my mom wanted to start a new tradition this year, a Bake Off!

My contribution was the Puppy Chow Cookies you see above, and you can see a guest appearance by the sugar cookies my mom made (and little cousins decorated) behind them.

Basically, if you love puppy chow, you’ll love these too. It uses a peanut butter cookie as a base instead of chex mix.

Baking the cookies was super easy, since it uses a mix. (You could make a homemade peanut butter cookie if you wanted)

But I will say coating it was an adventure. The recipe makes it sound like you have a bunch of chocolate to coat, but I had to use a spoon to kind of move the cookie around and get it coated.

From there, you just dump them in a bag of powdered sugar to coat the top layer, which also makes for easy clean up!

And I thought they tasted great! An easy recipe that will be great for any holiday party.

And I think the bake off was a success too!
